Why Are There So Many Kinds Of Carbon Fiber Plates?

High temperature plates are good to 400°F and unidirectional plates are extra stiff in one direction.
Carbon fiber composite sheets are manufactured using both compression molding and vacuum infusion techniques, utilizing carbon fiber fabric combined with epoxy resin or carbon fiber prepreg. During compression molding, the carbon fiber prepreg is placed into a mold, then heated under pressure using large hydraulic presses. The sheets are cured according to a specific curing cycle and produced in various dimensions.
The Vacuum Infusion technique employs vacuum pressure to draw resin into a laminate. Dry carbon fiber layers are arranged within the mold, and vacuum is applied before introducing the resin. Once a full vacuum is established, the resin is drawn directly into the carbon fiber layers.
